I wasn’t able to put the book aside. Laundry ? What ? Not yet…just 150 Pages to go….
Dishes ? What? Never mind just 10 Pages to go…
Now I’m finished and Hubby is soothed, thank God.
Just
searching for a word….. And I noticed that every word sucks. Yes,
this book is a so – called interracial – romantic – suspense. Whoa, and
that’s the problem in general (and the theme of this book.). Why aren’t
people able to look someone in the eyes and not at the color of their
skin. Racism has many faces but none is good.
Trunk is a psychologist
for kids and Jaimie the agent for Talula Rea. I loved that all the
folks from Call on duty (Operation alpha) were here in Durango again. I
really looked forward to this book because I don’t think I’ll ever get
enough of Freya’s writing.
Freya Barkers Themes are so real and scary
for real life, because it happens every day. Also are her characters so
close to real living that every new book feels like coming home to
Durango again. I couldn’t stop myself from reading. This one is more
suspenseful and because of the kids more scary.
This is very worth a read.

Buch hat fast einen Ehekrach verursacht. Ich konnte nicht aufhören zu
lesen und der Haushalt war mir so was von völlig schnuppe. Jetzt ist das
Buch ausgelesen und Männe wieder besänftigt. Gott sei Dank.
Ich habe
lange nach einem Wort gesucht und keins gefunden was mich sehr traurig
gemacht hat. Denn die Bezeichnung Interracial finde ich zum würgen.
Warum sind die Menschen nicht in der Lage ihren Mitmenschen in die Augen
zu schauen und nicht auf die Hautfarbe etc. Rassismus hat viele
Gesichter, aber keines davon ist schön.
Trunk ist Kinderpsychologe
und Jaimie Talulas Agentin. Ich liebe es; dass in jedem Buch alle
Freunde der On Call Serie auftauchen, das fühlt sich jedes mal wieder an
wie nach Hause kommen.
Ich werde nie genug bekommen von Freyas
Schreibstil und ihren Protagonisten. Sie ist so dicht dran am echten
Leben an echten Problemen. Wobei ich dieses Buch als nicht so
leichtgängig empfunden habe , wie alle anderen, da es hier in Teilen um
Kinder ging, die Schlimmes erlebt haben.
Oh Leute dieses Buch ist es absolut wert gelesen zu werden.
